Slate Fire Hearths

Ardosia Slate Company stocks a huge selection of Brazilian slate slabs in a variety of sizes, thicknesses and colours. Our workshop in the south west of England is fully equipped to cut, shape and finish them to your specific requirements, e.g. Circles (part circles), squares, rectangles, triangles.

Standard finish is a fine riven surface; although more textured surfaces can be achieved by selection and polished surfaces are also possible. Slate slab edges are diamond cut to achieve square and can be worked to provide a specific profile, or chipped to give an aged effect. Please see our BESPOKE page for details of edging.

Whatever design of fire hearth you require please CONTACT US and one of our team will be pleased to discuss your requirements and take your order. We can work from drawings or ‘templates’. Once completed, the hearth will be cleaned and sealed to your requirements prior to shipping to any mainland UK address by a specified ‘pallet carrier’ service.
